Fantastic Facts about Castle Howard
Castle Howard in North Yorkshire is not a real castle, so why the title? Because the title is a standard for all houses built on the site of a former military castle and the site was the location of Henderskelfe Castle. The current house is by all accounts a very large and grand house, regardless. It is today the private residence of the Howard family as it has been for more than 300 years.
